Who you're dealing with
Overpour is a Canadian coffee company. These terms apply to everything you buy through overpourcanada.ca. By placing an order you're agreeing to them.
Questions about anything here go to support@overpourcanada.ca.
Orders
An order is an offer to buy. It becomes a contract when we send you the confirmation email, not at the moment you click pay.
We can decline an order: if we can't ship to the address, if the product is out of stock, or if we think the order is fraudulent. If we decline one you've already paid for, you get a full refund and an explanation.
We try hard to keep the site accurate, but if a product is listed at an obviously wrong price we're not obliged to honour it. We'll tell you before charging you anything.
Prices and tax
All prices are in Canadian dollars. Any applicable taxes are shown at checkout before you pay.
We can change prices at any time, but never for an order that's already been confirmed.
Payment
Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never seen or stored by us or by this website.
Your order isn't packed until payment clears.
Subscriptions
A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. Before you subscribe, the checkout page shows you the amount, the currency and how often you'll be charged. Those are the terms you're agreeing to.
- You're charged on the same cycle until you cancel
- The price is locked for your subscription unless we tell you in advance by email
- You can pause, skip, change your address or cancel at any time, yourself, from your account
- Cancelling takes effect on the next cycle, and it doesn't reverse a box already billed and shipped
We'll always email you before a renewal price changes, with enough notice to cancel if you'd rather.
Delivery and risk
Shipping costs, timings and returns are set out in our Shipping & Returns policy, which forms part of these terms.
Risk passes to you on delivery. If a parcel is lost or damaged in transit, that's ours to sort out, not yours.
The coffee itself
Our boxes contain roasted coffee in single-serve pour-over bags. Coffee is a food product. Check the best-before date and store it somewhere dry and out of direct sun.
Our coffee is packed in a facility that handles other food products. If you have a severe allergy, email us before ordering and we'll tell you exactly what we can and can't guarantee.
Product photography is representative. Roast dates, origins and tasting notes change between batches, which is what you'd want from fresh coffee.
Your rights as a consumer
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under Canadian consumer protection law. Where something here conflicts with those rights, the law wins.
What we're responsible for
We're responsible for getting you the coffee you paid for, in good condition, and for fixing it when we don't.
We're not responsible for losses we couldn't reasonably have seen coming, and our liability for any order is limited to what you paid for it. This doesn't limit liability for death, personal injury, or anything else that can't be limited by law.
Changes
We can update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it. The date at the top tells you when this version went up.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
